Absolutely the best sushi in Chicago. We were longtime fans of Sushi Toro so we were very excited to check out Sushi Hall. Chicago is very lucky to have Chef Mitch Kim. Both take-out and dine-in experiences have been equally stellar. The fish is super fresh, which can be hard to come by in the Midwest!

Went there for Valentine's Day and it was perfect! We shared a bunch of dishes (the crispy rice was the best) as we sat at the bar. It was lively while still feeling intimate inside. The service was prompt.

My friends and I came here for Chicago restaurant week. There was a great deal at Sushi Hall. You got a miso soup, edamame, an appetizer (fries, gyoza, or poppers 2 nigiri, and 2 regular rolls for $30. All the fish was super fresh here and the nigiri pieces were very very generous. You got a huge amount salmon or tuna. The spicy tuna was also really delicious. The restaurant is a little on the smaller side. There's 4-5 tables and the rest of the restaurant has high top seats where you can watch the chef work. Service was friendly and efficient. We got our food pretty quickly and there was a lot of food to fit on the table. Definitely a good place to try, but not the best sushi restaurant in Chicago. There's really good happy hour prices here though. Inside is really clean and industrial looking. Parking around the area can be a little tough to find. You'll have to either do parking garages or pay for street parking.

OMG YUM. First off, such a bright, open airy space, with either bar/counter seating, or tables. Counter space is always fun, to watch the sushi making in action :) However, we opted for a table. We started with a bottle of cold sake (their bartender was out? Or too early? I'm not sure but cocktail list wasn't available. No worries at all, we had no issues with sake :) Went with a nice floral bottle which was a hair on the sweet side, but not bad at all! Started with the crispy rice and fries appetizer and both were delicious! First off, the plate of fries they give you is EASILY enough to be a meal. I was thrilled :) We did a few rolls (in and out- absolutely delicious) Ferris wheel-also delicious. And I THINK this is the one topped with octopus and it. Was. Stellar. A bowl of octopus? Yes please. Has two more rolls but they're escaping me right now. Portions were decent, albeit bites pretty small, so I felt able to eat a lot more than some places :) Flavors were stellar, and all in all would ABSOLUTELY be back!!

Yum! We were at Lincoln Park and looking for a place for happy hour. We stopped by here and it was amazing! We got the lycee martini and it was delicious, not too sweet and smooth. We also got a few happy hour rolls. They were all fresh and tasty! We had someone with an allergy and they were accommodating. Service was great as well. Would definitely recommended.

Loved Sushi Hall! They recently opened their patio for the summer and it was such a vibe! The food was delicious and super reasonably priced. The chicken katsu was massive, I had that for leftover the next day! Also enjoyed all of the rolls and appetizers! We had lychee mocktails that were perfect for patio weather I'll definitely be back! Such friendly service as well!!!

This is a casual sushi spot you can go to with your friends and not necessarily need to get dressed up, but can if you want to. The food alone is hands down five stars. We sat in the back area, which they label as the speakeasy and is a bar area with about five two-top tables. The drinks are concocted STRONG which is my personal love language. I would 100% get the Lycheetini and the Night Cap again. We started our meal with Mr. Kim's Crispy Rice, which is spicy tuna on a bed of crispy rice that was a little chewy, but the jalapeño on top made it crunchy and a 4/5. The In & Out Signature Roll was a show stopper, almost like a seafood tower on top of a maki roll. It felt like such a treat because of the generous portions of fresh fish embellishing this roll and a complete 5/5. The Moulton had cilantro in it, which made the roll more vibrant and bright with a healthy cut of tuna inside. 5.5. Last, but not least, was The 22. Simply amazing and like Lady Gaga would say never been done before. It featured a torched thin piece of salmon decorating the top of each piece and added a mild smokiness to the flavor. To top it off the entire night the featured setlist was ChappelRoan, who opened for Olivia Rodrigo this year, so to say this was an ideal night was an understatement.

Cute place! Had a reservation at 7:30 and was not seated until 8. Sat in what they called a speakeasy, but it was just a back room through the kitchen that was pretty tight. Service was slow to start, but they were busy, and it got much better after we placed our food order. To start I had a lychee martini, this was great! I came here for restaurant week, started with miso soup and edamame! The soup was so good, unfortunately they were out of soup spoons so I had to sip my bowl like a cup. I then got the in and out roll and tuna nigiri. The nigiri was large and very fresh fish! The roll also had a lot of different flavors and went nicely together! I think my favorite part was the dessert! A mochi donut with ice cream, this donut was amazing! I would come back for this! At the end the bartender offered us a round of sake on them for the wait! I think with restaurant week they were slammed, I would come back on a regular night!

Recently tried Sushi Hall and loved it. Such a cool new spot in Lincoln park with a speakeasy bar. Really like the colors and vibes of this place . The service is also quick and the staff is friendly. The food was a 10/10. Unforgettable taste, impeccable craftsmanship, and a symphony of freshness await you at Sushi Hall. This is probably my FAVORITE spot I've been to recently. It has an outdoor patio too, making it the perfect spot for SUMMER. We tried the Hamachi on the Hall, The Friends Night Out, The Moulton, Gyoza, and Togarashi Fries. Each dish was so flavorful and the portion sizes were good too. Hamachi on the hall was my absolute favorite. I will definitely be back to try other things on their menu.
